SCHOOL HISTORY

According to a legend, Dalumpinas came from the words “Danum” which means water and “Pinas” which refers to smooth slippery stones in brooks. This barangay is more popularly known as “Beddeng” which means boundary of San Juan and San Fernando. At the northern portion is a mountain range in where a cave is located. A giant named Angalo stayed in that cave and instructed the people to cook delicious food for him up to the time when all their animals were gone. One day, the people decided to gather plenty of saluyot leaves for his viand but after consuming everything, Angalo was still hungry. He was angry and mad that he got the earth on the southern portion of the place and built a high dike. The portion where he got the earth became fishponds and the dike became mountains.
